Created by Dani Safitra who focuses on comic strips and is active on social media, Si Belang is a 6-year old and first grade elementary school boy who is mischievous and loves to prank people around him. But behind it all, Belang g is an innocent kid with a kind heart. The creation of Belang was inspired from several comics and animation.

The story set of Si belang was born and lived in West Sumatra, precisely in the city of Bukittinggi. Belang often calls himself Morgan Hensem because he thought the name was cool.
